Odd log on issue

Hi there,

I have downloaded mvcforum 1.8 and I am running it together with an mvc site I built myself.

I am publishing the two projects separately but to the same server and mvcforum is running as it's own application. The connection string to the database for the two projects are the same.

I am able to create new forum users on the deployed mvforum but I am not able to log on (as admin or any other user). I get no errors but am just redirected back to the start page of the forum.

If I run the forum alone locally (but against the remote db) I can log in just fine.

Is this "just" an application pool / IIS setup thing or what am I missing? Any tips would be appreciated as to how I can debug this issue.

Maybe I should add that my own site is using the out-of-the-box ASP.NET MVC 5 identity (which works just fine).

Okay, I think I figured it out myself. I tried deleting my own site from the server and the authentication started working. I don't have much experience with hosting two sites on the same domain like this - anyone have a hint as to how the two sites with authentication can co-exist?

I got same issue.  https://mvcforum.com does not let me inside the admin panel, instead it keeps me redirecting to login page.

I published again a s a new web application as /mvcforum where I can login and go to admin panel.

It is quite strange though. I haven't figured out any answers to this though.
